Forest fire near Limassol swiftly extinguished

A forest fire which broke out near the Limassol district village of Pyrgos was extinguished within half an hour of breaking out on Sunday, the forestry department said. The fire broke out at around 3.20pm, with five firefighters from the nearby village of Parekklisia being called upon to extinguish it. It was extinguished by 3.46pm.
